Information for Survivors
For Parents   For Students   For Professionals   For Survivors
1 In 64 Americans Is A Suicide Survivor
Every Suicide Touches At Least 6 Other Individuals
Grieving the loss of a loved one includes talking, crying, screaming, and expressing the loss, the associated feelings. Expression is a means of healing. Though the only way to heal is to mourn, survivors of suicide are not always allowed the how or where they can express their grief. Unfortunately due to stigma and unresolved feelings, survivors of suicide suffer alone and in silence. The silence complicates the healing that comes from encouragement to mourn. Understanding your silence, and complications in healing further encourage and enhance our efforts for your mourning.

We Recognize Surviving A Loss Of A Loved One
To Suicide As a Unique Experience
We understand you have experienced a loss in a sudden, unexpected traumatic death. We understand the manner of death you experienced is often shunned by society. We want you to know we respect your loss and want to help. We know losing one to suicide that can be overwhelming. There are limited answers. There is guilt and hind-sight questioning personal actions and objectives of survivors. Even though the actual death of an individual is tragic enough in itself, there are other issues that make it even more complicated. Losing people to suicide is out of the ordinary.

We Are Here To Help And Heal
Let Us Know How You Feel
When a person who is a part of our life dies, understanding the and respecting the loss guides us in finding the support and recognition for the loss.
